Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray’s Hospitality and Lodging Practice Group provides full-service legal representation in connection with hotel and resort ownership, management, development and franchising. Attorneys in our Hospitality and Lodging Practice Group have been involved in many large hotel acquisitions and/or due diligence reviews throughout the United States, including mixed use developments involving residential, commercial, restaurant and recreational components. We represent developers in complicated urban core development or redevelopment projects utilizing historic tax credits, new market tax credits, governmental subsidies or a combination thereof. Our practice regularly incorporates the preparation and/or negotiation of hotel management agreements, franchise agreements, technical service agreements, asset management agreements, development agreements, partnership agreements among investors and developers, construction documents, internal structuring, purchase and sale transactions and other typical real estate related documents. The practice also includes a full range of legal services for day-to-day matters arising in connection with hotel operations and management such as operational contracts review, employment issues and litigation support when necessary.

The firm’s clients include owners and managers of new build Marriott, Westin and Sheraton Luxury Collection hotels and resorts throughout the United States. Through acquisitions, the firm represents owners and managers of Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Best Western and many of the various franchise lines operated by each of them from limited service to luxury hotels.
