CABLE AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC provides legal services to major telecommunications firms. Our area of expertise covers both telephony and cable television, with the expertise in the areas of Title II and Title VI regulation. On the Title II side, the Firm has represented Qwest Communications, the regional Bell operating company in the western United States, in a variety of issues, including:

• Primary counsel for all right-of-way and Section 253 negotiations;

• Primary counsel on all aspects of cable operations, including franchising, renewals, franchise dispute, and product development; and

• Primary legislative counsel;

In addition, our attorneys have had in-house experience in participation and completing Section 251 interconnection negotiations, CLEC certification, and tariff formation.

On the Title VI side, Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray is unique in that we have had vast in-house and external experience in representing and advising cable television clients. The Firm provides legal service to major cable firms such as Adelphia Communications, including:

• Initial cable franchises;

• Franchise renewals;

• Franchise transfers;

• General contract issues, including multiple dwelling units contracts, client sales contracts, advertising interconnect agreements, and construction and installation contracts with outside vendors; and

• Legislative and policy issues.
